This is a breath of fresh air for me. I am so grateful that a portion of society has held onto their empathy and moral compass while becoming very successful.

I think the American dream had a few conditions that might not be repeatable:

1. Pretty much all Non-American part of the world has SHTF moments;

2. US was an expanding empire;

3. The aristocrats were wiser;
