An ad that you run during the Olympics isn't a product ad, or a brand ad, or a perception ad. Think "Superbowl". Did the Terry Tate ads tell you anything about the product, the company, or give you any actionable take-away? Nope. Were they hilarious? Yes. This ad made me giggle, I'm sure it made lots of other people giggle too, and in context it is absolutely the right kind of advert to air.
