Whenever I get to the slog part of a project I have to remind myself: "If it was easy, everyone would do it". Getting through the slog is what makes something an accomplishment.

That said, when I get to that point is also when I evaluate whether an accomplishment is truly important to me. If it's not worth the slog it can't be that important.
