The US should not tax expatriate citizens on their non-US income or capital gains.
The US should make expatriation simple and cheap.
The US would then be similar to all other countries in the world (not just western countries but all countries, except Eritrea).
Another significant right is dual-citizenship, which the US accepts (good), but some other countries do not. I think the US used to ban it, but now grudging allows it (I think in response to various acts of terrorism against Americans in the 70s, but could be wrong).
I feel a strong sense of respect and approval for people who would like to expatriate from the United States for anti-imperialist reasons, but do not do so, and instead use their citizenship in order to do work against the continued existence of the United States.
The risks such people take is great! The importance of such work is even greater. Please continue working to end the empire. Please continue working to end America!
