Never hear of meebok in comment above yours. Even a name like that has a .org and .com [1] neither of which, as far as I can tell, have anything to do with the e-reader.
Presumably work on this device began well before the existence of Google Gemini was public knowledge. Either way, this product has no relation to AI or Google, so it doesn't matter.
It's fine to have a word reused in different contexts, but we've had a lot of "gemini"s in computing/tech, and in fact we've had an actual mobile computer device named gemini already ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemini_PDA ).
there were multiple Meta companies before Facebook/Zuckerberg co-opted it, such as an amazing motorcyle brand/publication which was forced to change to https://vahna.com. they chased them with lawyers and Vahna didn't want to fight it so they rebranded.
big tech is going to steal the big names and it makes zero sense for fellow tech companies to get mired in the legal + SEO drama.
