I'm nominally in the customer segment, but I bounced off the front page. The sample text (Michael & Dwight) needs to be improved to sell the product. Highly repetitive components ("He is", "great") make it look like a grade schooler wrote it.

As an employee, I would have been dismayed to receive such generic and low effort feedback in a written review even if it was cleaned up.

It was an one-week hackathon project, so we didn't spend too much time to refine the messages on the landing page. We have improved the quality of the generated content this week, and we should definitely update the message.

To be fair - actually creating a decent prompt is pretty difficult. So tools that help with that/automate it are going to be valuable.


We like ChatGPT and use GPT-3 as our backbone too.

Interesting use case of ChatGTP. In a performance review cycle, both employees and managers are involved. I'm curious why you picked manager angle to start, any rationale behind?


Yes, we have definitely considered that. There are many more reviews to write for managers or peers, such as those from a manager to their direct reports or from an employee to their peers (if applicable). The product could be more valuable to users if it could be used 3 to 10 times immediately.

In our advanced options, you can choose to generate "performance review (for direct reports)," "performance review for your manager," and "360 peer review." We have found that these three types share similar characteristics and thus produce better results. Please give it a try and let us know your feedback!

However, self-assessment requires a very different approach. We have recognized the demand for it, but we are not satisfied with the quality of the produced content thus far.
