Amazon abandons live tests of Scout home delivery robot (reuters.com)

I'm not entirely convinced that automated delivery isn't just a diversionary tactic from Amazon.

The biggest advantage Amazon has that no one currently has a working response to is their people driven delivery network.

All traceable back to a short sighted, politically motivated effort from a former president to encourage the USPS to jack up their delivery rates on Amazon. Within a few months, the first Amazon labeled trucks were on the streets --- and the USPS, Fedex and UPS have paid a price for it. Incompetent former POTUS obviously never imagined that they could respond so quickly.
