Sometimes I look at the credits lists for very impressive, native 90s desktop programs, that were made in a reasonable amount of time by a small group of people who, at least to some degree, had worse tools than we do now, for a smaller market and lower pay. Usually to be shipped on CD, so they even had to mostly work and not have too many bugs at launch, on top of that. And I wonder WTF happened to our industry and what the armies of programmers at all these companies are doing.
