If I knew everything I know now about software after high school I could have gotten a good job, but coming out of high school I was socially completely inept. College accelerated me so much in that regard that I honestly can’t imagine my life without it today.

Yeah absolutely. If it wasn't clear, that social value was extremely helpful for me as well.
