Not sure if related but my wifi chip keeps shutting down for no reason.

I run a diagnostics in windows and it seems to fix it everytime.

It's not a realtek.

Why would you think it's related if it's not a realtek chip ?

I guess wifi chips are all designed the same way, they all have a firmware.

Crappy drivers. Happens all the times. Even wired, and even Intel. Solution under Windows: Click on the Symbol in the task bar, go to network & shares, choose the corresponding part, deactivate, wait 2 seconds, reactivate. See the globe spinning, be connected again.

Solution under Linux: maybe unnecessary, because quirks are meanwhile autodetected and circumvented if possible.

Is it possible to identify these devices remotely, say by a range of MAC adresses or something ?
