Doctors don't want another product to learn add to their already saturated load.
Most doctors and dentists I know are very non-technical actually. I know a dentist who could barely work email.
However there's some software they probably use quite a bit, if those vendors were to license the data, and maybe the graphs generated by the data - THAT is the business model that would work imho.
