Gernot is a smart guy. I learned a lot from him on this stuff. Moreover, the ideas Im pushing here were described and implemented by his people at OK Labs then deployed in millions of phones. Also used in desktops and servers by US, UK, and German firms.

Rust is a good choice given its adoption. Only if they focus on a runtime instead of POSIX, though.

I know the website isn't terribly clear right now (it was posted a week earlier than I planned), but the first goal listed is exactly this.
