A blocked Googlebot would’ve caused a report of 403s in the Search Console, which isn’t the case. And the subdomain has worked perfectly fine for the last 15 years.
You may have a point with the Trainer Central rebranding, but please consider this in the context of Italian language results. It’s not about reaching the home of the wiki (which is pretty much the only page that’s still indexed), it’s all the other search queries (Pokémon names, moves, games, etc - without adding “pokemon central” even) that usually returned our wiki’s dedicated page as first result (or top 5 at least) and now those specific pages are not even indexed anymore.
In the first image you can see how indexed pages go from 40k+ to 11 in the matter of days. Further down the thread I show how 114k+ pages are marked as “crawled but not index” and we can’t understand why. The rest is stuff that is (correctly) blocked by robots.txt.
We have very good anti-bot system set up with a good number of Cloudflare fine-tuned rules, limited permissions for newly created accounts, and a very dedicated team of volunteers that patrol the recent edits constantly. I cannot exclude that somewhere on a rarely visited page (out of 37k+) there is a spam link, but I doubt it’s the reason for the deindexing. I think this would also appear on the Google Search Console.
I'd still recommend doing searches for common spam topics to see if you have "bad" stuff. On our wiki everything looked fine until you searched for (say) "finance" (which most users never would) ... and then you'd find a mess of spam finance stuff.
As for whether it's responsible or not, obviously I don't know. What I do know is that, without all the info, "Google saw malicious content on your wiki" is a far more logical theory than "Google just decided to hate us out of the blue".
We would like the wiki to be free of ads, but hosting costs at our scale are real. Since we don’t like ads either, we compromise like this: users can register for free and never see an ad (they are only served to anonymous visitors); they can also use an ad blocker and we won’t bug them about it.
If you buy it vacuum-sealed from a shop, the packaging usually has additional branding from the producer.
Not a "favorite dairy", but if it's convenient to do so, I usually look for the "vacche rosse" type, which is more expensive but also noticeably different (and better). Of course it would be a waste to grate it over pasta; better to eat it on its own.
Isn't the "advanced data protection" option already making it impossible for Apple to comply in cases where this is enabled? Of course this is not a perfect solution as it has to be explicitly enabled (and it has some usability drawbacks), but imagine that people who care about this stuff have this enabled already.
This article spawned because the UK is purportedly issuing a secret order under the Investigative Powers act for Apple to implement a backdoor encompassing Advanced Data Protection. Because these are secret orders it is illegal for Apple to disclose the fact they received any and what the content of the order is.
It is interesting to note that the UK is asking for this superuser privilege while also infamously silencing a literal epidemic of child sexual abuse for fear of its optics (i.e., Rotherham). It’s a difficult sell for me that the police need this to do their job when they wouldn’t do it with full knowledge of these horrible crimes being committed against literal children.

There's a difference between a lack of response due to incompetence and uncaring officials (which this clearly was) versus "silencing" which suggests not only a deliberate ignoring of the problem but active steps to hide it - neither of which is the case because people kept bringing it up! Yes, higher-ups were incompetent and stupid and uncaring and probably hoped it would go away if they ignored it but that's a whole world away from an active conspiracy to "silence" things.
One thing to note is that the panoramica usually has very little traffic and zero trucks, so while it might take a bit more time it's usually a less stressful experience.
Meg White is widely regarded as a great drummer by her peers. "Unskilled" is definitely not true: she just plays in a style that is devoid of virtuosity, and it fits the music very well.
Fair assessment. A very skilled artist could use an unskilled style - see Nirvana's cover of Where Did You Sleep Last Night or even John Travolta's dancing in Pulp Fiction.
