Yup Cloudflare Post-Quatum key exchange connections to my Nginx origin working nicely https://blog.centminmod.com/2023/10/03/2860/how-to-enable-cl... :)

Yes. Though the point is to illustrate that $5/month 1click toggle button can almost give you same gains as a full pro optimised configuration by expert page speed folks. For average joe Wordpress users that is a very good value add for the price

Cloudflare doesn’t cache HTML pages by default only static files https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200172516. You need to specifically tell Cloudflare to cache HTML pages via page rules etc https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/202775670

Cloudflare Workers don’t cache by default either for HTML pages only static files unless you write the Worker to cache HTML pages.

So if they tested on default index.html page then it would of been a Cloudflare Cache miss/bypass which may explain their results.

I did some page speed comparison tests with Webpagetest, GTMetrix, Page Speed Insights and FastOrSlow tools for my Wordpress blog https://community.centminmod.com/threads/cloudflare-wordpres... using Cloudflare Automatic Platform Optimizations versus without APO (with my own custom Cloudflare Worker cache + Origin PHP-FPM fastcgi_cache cache setup). Results are very close so you get a lot of bang for your buck with CF APO 1 click toggle button if you're not well versed in page speed optimisations.

However, CF APO seems to have a few teething issues to sort out

- https://community.cloudflare.com/t/apo-breaks-google-fonts/2... - https://community.cloudflare.com/t/automatic-platform-optimi... - https://community.cloudflare.com/t/automatic-platform-optimi...

For US$5/month CF APO, has a lot of value if you don't want to go down the rabbit hole for page speed optimisations and rolling out your own Cloudflare Worker cache configuration.

I'm hoping Caddy v2 performance improves over time too https://caddy.community/t/caddy-v2-http-2-http-3-benchmarks/... :)

Really depends on underlying hardware of the Linode and DO VPS servers as they can vary greatly especially on DO depending on datacenter and region you end up in. Newer DO datacenters getting newer hardware so difference compared to older DO datacenters is huge - benchmarks of same DO droplet plan on different hardware https://community.centminmod.com/threads/digitalocean-us-15-...

should be the same though zstd defaults to 1 cpu thread AFAIK so probably why you seeing differences ?

I build my own custom tar 1.32 rpm with zstd support https://community.centminmod.com/threads/custom-tar-archiver... and can confirm you can pass options that way.

Posted my zstd 1.4.0 compression benchmarks https://community.centminmod.com/threads/round-3-compression... - looking good :)
