Hi HN!

Drew here, founder of DBK Labs, with an exciting announcement - we are launching a YouTube app for macOS! Clicker for YouTube is a standalone macOS app designed with the goal of creating the best YouTube experience possible on a Mac.

Here's a rundown of the top features:

Launch YouTube right from your Dock Picture-in-Picture w/ custom video controls Built-in ad blocker Like/Dislike and toggle Autoplay from the Touch Bar Sleep timer w/ auto-shut off Native push notifications Quick access to subscriptions from the Menu Bar  Native macOS design language Truly Full Screen Browsing Upload video from within the app Auto-switch to Dark Mode Written in Swift for great performance

My favorite feature personally is the sleep timer, which allows you to set your computer to go to sleep after 30 minutes (or whatever duration you select). This lets me fall asleep to YouTube on autoplay without worrying about my battery dying in the middle of the night!

To celebrate the launch, I wanted to give you a special launch discount - for the next 24 hours, you can get the new app for only $3.99 with code LAUNCHPROMO20 at checkout ($4 off retail!). There is also a free 7-day trial of the app if you want to try it out first :)

I hope you are staying safe during these difficult times and if you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them in the comments below.

Best, Drew Koch, Founder, DBK Labs LLC

P.S. Yes, it does work on Big Sur and yes, it can stream at up to 8K HDR!

Hi friends

Drew here, founder of DBK Labs, with an exciting announcement - we are launching a Prime Video app for Mac!

It has a ton of features that I think really elevate watching Prime Video on the Mac, including:

     - Launch Prime Video right from your Dock

     - Control Prime Video from the Touch Bar

     - ️️ Picture-in-Picture support

     - ️️ Quick Resume from the Menu Bar

     - Show Only Free-to-Watch Prime Videos

     - Hide the Standard Amazon Nav Bar

     - Prevent Trailers from Auto-playing

     - Auto-resume the last played video

     - ️️ Truly full screen browsing

     - ️️ Auto-skip Ads and Video Intros
My favorite feature by far is the ability to remove shows you have to pay for from the browse experience. Knowing that any show I see is one I can stream for free instantly is so nice

To celebrate the launch of the new app, we are running a launch promo. Get the app for just $2.99 for a limited time by using the code launch20.

Enjoy!

This is exactly what I've been dealing with for the last month, as I attempt to completely re-write an Electron app in Swift. The part about scavenging through WWDC transcripts particularly resonated with me. Coming from JS ecosystem, I was also shocked at how few google results (even stack overflow) would come up for issues I was running into.

What annoys me about Apple, is that clearly their time is valuable to them, but us paying Developer Program members are forced to waste days worth of business hours hunting through their appallingly maintained "documentation". And that really pisses me off.

Hi guys,

Started playing around with Electron this weekend and threw together this Gmail desktop app. Would love feedback and pull requests to make it better!

-Drew

dude this is sick

This was a big mistake on my part, and I'd like to thank you for pointing out how stupid it was for me to do such a thing. I have now replaced that entire section. I am very sorry for anyone I may have offended by doing such a thing.

thanks so much! I didn't realize load time would be such a problem

Thanks! I'm going for the mass consumer market. I think this product will definitely be aimed best at the young professional who wants to decorate a living space and who is somewhat tech-savvy. What markets did you have success with out of curiosity?

Also I have no clue how to do an api lol

Drew, Good job with launching this. I'm curious to know how you are printing this - Do you have access to an existing printer (that's shown in the image), or did you actually build up those facilities yourself?

Thanks for the kind words. I have set up a studio with a high-quality Epson printer with panorama-printing capabilities. If you want to know more details, shoot me an email.

What you need to do is get in touch with wedding and special events people. Also what kind of proter do oh have? Mine was a prototype shitty photo printer from Walmart.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
