Seems like a nice adjacent project to the magic mirror!

But there is literature concensus that at least in the US, non-US born CEOs are the best, and there is little relation between founders -> CEOs and good company performance on multiple metrics.

They can be the best at bringing in shareholder value, which would have a great correlation with enshittification. Having the ability to reduce the quality of something so that customers barely stay (or have no where else to go because they have been trapped in a monopoly or a walled garden) is not a skill. I'd argue it is a trait out of cartoon villains.

We watched very different cartoons.

Scooby-Doo > * when it comes to accurately depicting the predictable nature of capitalist villainy.

What are some good alternatives to Stripe for people to pay for your stuff?

Unsure how much I trust my searches for this kind of stuff on the web lately

Adyen is similar to Stripe, and it's an European company. But they select their customers, so you need to contact them, you can't sign-up "diy".

Eindhoven?

Anyone Eindhoven?

I’d be interested! My email is in my HN profile, let’s set something up!

Like, worst case scenario we just start with the two of us.

Interesting! And what would you say are MTD top competitors?

I'm only dealing with Japanese audio so for me it's Anime-Whisper, a Japanese-specific fine-tuning of Qwen3 ASR, and Apple SpeechTranscriber.

Is it the first to reach 2 exaflops?

Yes.

The fastest US supercomputer, El Capitan at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, reaches only 1.809 exaflops, while this reaches 2.198, 22% higher.

On the HPCG benchmark, which is more strongly influenced by memory bandwidth, the advance over the GPU-based El Capitan is even greater, of 26.4%.

Carbon tax, plastic bag tax, etc. are from the learnings from economic externalities that is applied to climate policy. Other non climate externalities based policies are sugar tax, alcohol/cigarette/drug tax, education, healthcare, etc.

Competitive in what sense? In training LLMs? Then they would be below Korea then UAE models.

Not HN, but from my experience of over a decade, it's certainly US culture to criticise without expertise.

I can say from expertise that vibing a full move of any project from one language to another is probably not a great way to evaluate if the decision is a good one. I got downvoted, maybe I said it too authoritatively. But hey, that is just like, my experienced opinion, man.
