The process you’re describing is called recuperation[1] and I believe your skepticism is well-founded. The effects of these drugs on the human mind and culture is more powerful than any other drug in history. The effects may not be immediate but I believe they will be more dramatic than any other pharmaceutical society has experienced so far.
I find your apologetics for those who associate with known pedophiles deeply disturbing.
Pedophiles require a network of enablers to operate, much more so for high-profile cases like Epstein. If someone you know chooses to associate with a known pedophile, you should cut all ties with them. If you don’t, then you are potentially complicit in the crime insofar as you could potentially provide assistance to someone who is enabling a known pedophile.
This is why anyone with a functioning moral system will negatively judge associates of known pedophiles. I’m not sure why this needs to be spelled out for you.

My point is an ages old point (and part of basic christian morals): love to the neighbor doesn't stop when one has been (or even is) a sinner, even if they're the worst sinner. In fact that's where it makes more sense.
That's not about befriending a criminal to participate or benefit from their crimes (which I made abundantly clear and even spelled out). It's also not about befriending a criminal and keeping quiet about criminal stuff you see (thus enabling) their crimes.
It's that if you're a friend, you're a friend. Friendship and love for a criminal isn't complicity and shouldn't be judged as such. In fact it could be the best thing that helps to make a criminal see their ways. Doubly so for an ex-criminal.

You seemed to be arguing there that we shouldn’t make negative judgments of those who choose to be friends with others who have committed “extreme wrong” which I assume includes crimes like those committed by Epstein.

I think you’re right about media consumption however, I don’t see how most users could justify upgrading to a 5g mobile plan.
I think it's "off" meaning "outside of". It's a problem for consumers when confusing marketplace rules coupled with single-company-enforced limited options unnecessarily cost them more. That said, not sure I would want it illegal.
Yes, if the soldered-on SSD has failed you can boot from an external drive by holding down the alt/option key while the system powers on to bring up the boot selection menu.
I thought this no longer works with the T2 chip? Don't you run into issues with e.g. upgrading the firmware because it will only accept firmware updates from the internal drive?
I got a brand new mac with a T2 chip this week from my work. The first thing I did was do all the updates, including a security update for the OS, which required a restart. During the restart it was giving errors, so it was not able to boot properly. It would just give the error message and you could only restart again, just to have the same thing happen. A colleague more familiar with macs, brought up a menu, where you could choose which drive to boot from, which eventually fixed the problem, since it booted from the hard disk. In my case this menu had only the internal ssd, since I did not have anything else connected. I would guess that if I had an external hard drive it would show up as well.
Also on the documentation of the T2 chip, Apple strongly recommends to use file vault, because if you do not, the ssd even though it is encrypted by default, gets decrypted [1] upon being mounted.
To sum up, I guess it is possible to boot from whatever device you want.
I'm not sure I ever knew the name of it, but it was in Utah, if that helps. Previously they had taught Angular as part of the course, but they apparently recently switched to React.
