Despite not being in the EU, Norway is European without the slightest doubt.

Since a good LLM can handle any of those 40 web frameworks, I think having 40 web frameworks is becoming less of a problem than it used to be. Actually, implementing ideas in an individual manner will become easier. Remember the Bazaar and the Cathedral? The Bazaar kind of failed on the client side, but LLMs may revive it.

>For those of you who look down on IKEA furniture, I'd like to hear about what alternatives you think need mentioning.

I do not look down at IKEA, but there are things I would buy at IKEA and things I would not. For example I would not buy a sofa from IKEA. For this in Germany I found Bolia, who offer higher quality Scandinavian furniture with a not too outrageous pricetag.

In 1991 Audi presented the Quattro Spyder, which had a detachable solar roof. The idea was to run a fan to prevent overheating of the interior.

And now they won't to power the entire car with energy from solar cells on the car? I have my doubts.

On the "charging-from-the-sun" side of the equation, they recently had an independent German test organization measure the daily charge rate, and it exceeded the 4.0kWh/day goal. The test was conducted at their Southern California headquarters during July, however, so your mileage may (literally) vary.

In case you didn't notice, today's solar panels are more efficient and much cheaper than the solar panels of 1991.

Also, enough energy for some range ≠ enough power to drive constantly.

It's Ford Prefect

Do you realize who Kafkaesque the discussion already has become?

I am pretty sure the reason for the ban lightbulbs was to push sales of fluorescent lamps before LEDs would finally take over. It came just when LED lamps were still too expensive to replace the light bulbs, so people were pushed into those crappy fluorescent lamps, only to have them replaced a few years later by the much better LEDs.

Germany does an extra gold plating on every single EU regulation.

Or just ignores them, if it doesn't serve the lobby groups, like for example the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD).

Allianz Marketing Head: My son's new favorite website is "Hackernews". They do not run ads, so how can we get the attention of their audience?
