Classic CAN uses 8 bytes long frame, so 64 bits. Is it a typo in the post, vor is it using CAN-FD?


I read this as the chunks are 64 bytes and thus each chunk is split over 9 frames. I haven’t looked yet but it’s probably an ISO-TP esque framing protocol.

Yep, this is the case. Nine frames are transmitted with the first frame containing a sequence number and the first five bytes, followed by seven frames containing just data, and a final frame containing the last three bytes of data, and a two byte CRC.

Must be. Can 1.x and 2.0 are fixed size frames.

Could be TP.DT, multi packet.

My guess is a typo.


I still have various spare parts of my fp2: screen, camera, battery. This was in 2015 and it was modular and repairable. For the fp1, it was possible to replace the battery.

If you ever happened to go through Karlsruhe, Germany, there is a collection of mechanical transmission models from Redtenbacher. Some models were on display in the mechanical engineering building at the university.

Such a shame ! The Netherlands could have followed Norway and store CO2. The CO2 will be useful carrier for hydrogen, to build methanol out of the electrolysers installed in Groningen. Liquid energy carrier are useful because they are easier to handle than gaseous or liquid (cryo-cooled) hydrogen, for application like ocean going vessel.


It is supposed that such an event happened, when the land between continental Europe and England got flooded. This was as well during a warmer period when glacier melted. And there was human population on that land.

This is already the case. Some PLC allows you to store and retrieve the source code of the programmed directly in the flash of the PLC. Sometimes this feature is behind a higher access level or password.
