And how many posts recently asked how AI was dangerous?

I'm surprised they just don't wait until someone uses AI to 'understand' the settlement, and the company can just slurp it from there.

Here's the big challenge:

"The 10-tonne dolly also eats into payload capacity—a non-starter for weight-sensitive loads."

Losing 20k lbs of trailer capacity completely changes the ROI. Only volume limited shipments would really benefit.

Additionally, these dollys have to be pre-positioned, and wait fully charged along the route, to enable the 5-min swap advertised.

Dead in the water.

It's a set of 300 numbers split across 5 d60s.

More evidence that AI can be quite useful!

Whoops! Sorry about all of that aiding and abetting.

"The coaster brake also can be prone to locking up the wheels and causing the tire to skid. For kids this is an advantage, since they enjoy putting bikes into a sideways skid. This seemingly is a one of the requisite skills for youthful riders, especially but not exclusively boys."

Very accurate.

Having AI do the work for you doesn't increase your writing skills, in fact, the opposite!

Instead of seeing the errors and thinking about what changes the draft needs ('improving' your writing skills'), you're letting someone else tell you what changes to make.

Because you aren't internalizing the corrections, guess what happens next time: your writing gets worse, AI comes to help...rinse and repeat.

Fixing spelling, capitalization, and punctuation...that's just a spell checker, no fancy LLM needed.

Tell that to ios’ autocorrect that seems to really suck at it lately. I’d like to have an llm that doesn’t screw up and replace actual words with what it probabilistically thought I was saying.

It is needed. Sometimes the semantics matter.

"While he managed to escape to West Germany and gain his freedom, he ended up losing touch with his mother, who, being a dedicated communist, rejected him as a traitor to East Germany and denounced his escape."

Ouch.
