It's probably going to be even worse than that - HR (and everyone else) will probably then have to implement process and procedure and storage mechanisms to prove that emails have not been changed. This might mean storing emails in a document control system. Email is bad enough but now we're all going to have to keep a mirror in SharePoint or something like that.

i do this with email from my financial institutions that i care about. i login to their “secure messaging “ portal and grab pdf export of the web page.

It is once you've maxed out what you can borrow and are now barely able to pay the mortgage and food.

Sometimes we find it hard to see the things that are closer to home, and presume that these phenomena are do do with other peoples and cultures.

But consider in English we currently do this blue and light blue. Where say Spanish calls them different colours - blue and celeste, and they are linguistically seen as different named colours.

Interestingly we don't do this with red, there's no red and light red, but red and pink.

Isn’t teal a named blue color?

Maybe make them seaplanes if making airports is too expensive? I just want to bring seaplanes back any way we can really ;)

Well, for any coastal location, you can just take a ship.

I also used it, a relative had one for their startup. There were dozens of us at least!

That was one of the most romantic things I have ever read. And like most romantic things it was fundamentally flawed. Excellent prose though.

The comparison is not between hjkl, arrows and mouse movements. Vim motions are far richer than that.

Yes, this is true, but machine learning is but one aspect of artificial intelligence. There's also neural networks, and I reckon we might see some interesting stuff come out of Quantum Computing too...

It would be hard to argue that DNA coding directly effects behaviour. DNA only determines how genes are expressed and proteins are built, where behaviour is an emergent phenomena - behaviour is genes and DNA but it is also the large scale interaction of all of those processes and external input which makes it much more than the sum of the DNA parts.

The sad truth is that most jobs can be replaced by "unthinking machines". This is what is actually happening.

which was the whole point of machines
