I had never known of the continuing output of Chris Burden and it is very interesting! Chris was one of a number of students who attended Pomona College at a time when it's teaching of art was radically modern. Should anyone take interest they can read about the interesting output of some of the other students here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12497845-it-happened-at-...

Although some may see it as misleading localising a whole app is a greater over all effort. In a view of working to always push forward an app to the greatest possible audience as minimum viable product and work from there, a localised title and description is the best compromise. In this there is also the consideration of a large global english speaking audience, so presuming your first language is a widely spoken alternative (en/es) you are still offering more functionality to a greater audience than would usually have access. Users being annoyed using your app is much more often than not as much of a problem as users having never heard of your application.
I appreciate some greeting the behaviour of pragmatic conference attendance as suspicious. I'm not advocating talk as any substitute for credibility but if you have a good product and want attention you will have to get out there and in front of people.
I appreciate that. What is annoying is the sales pitch that you don't want to hear and have a hard time escaping from. If somebody has a good product that you have interest in, an in-person demo and opportunity to ask questions is great! Or a business that you're interested in working with -
Thats exactly what I do. Mind you, not usually within a crowded tiny room. Sometimes talk is just not enough to earn trust, people want to see evidence. A phone with the apps and shortcuts pre-installed is live demo hazard ridden but generally a tablet is a nice backdrop to conversation.
That little affair will surely have affected any valuation. It was just the shove I needed to move to pinboard. Let's start a conspiracy theory that it was a co-ordinated effort by some other bookmarking service to capture delicious users.
