It appears to have better blocking mechanics, so I don't know. The same content might exist there, but you won't see things that you filtered.

Oh I did this with the Facebook one and redirected them to a 100MB file of garbage that is part of the Cloudflare speed test... they hit this so many times that it would've been 2PB sent in a matter of hours.

I contacted the network team at Cloudflare to apologise and also to confirm whether Facebook did actually follow the redirect... it's hard for Cloudflare to see 2PB, that kind of number is too small on a global scale when it's occurred over a few hours, but given that it was only a single PoP that would've handled it, then it would've been visible.

It was not visible, which means we can conclude that Facebook were not following redirects, or if they were, they were just queuing it for later and would only hit it once and not multiple times.

Hmm, what about 1kb of carefully crafted gz-bomb? Or a TCP tarpit (this one would be a bit difficult to deploy).

For what it's worth there have been a number of cases of elderly patients holding up a bank for $1 and then sitting in the waiting area to be arrested with the stated goal to get medical treatment. I have no idea how many of them actually end up in jail or get the treatment they desired.

I have my own thought and also one in response to the "taking a photo" type tasks.

I'd like a drop down of some tasks I predefined, so I can answer with one of those.

Things like "answering a message" that I can choose instead of entering one. There is occasionally one message with 3 choices, I think, about how this aligns with my goals. So something like that but user defined.

Second thing, maybe a couple of those options could be tied to app launch so clicking it takes you to the common task. For example, "Taking a photo" could drop me right back into the camera app.

Thanks for the feedback. I was saying it has speakers but they are lackluster in quality.

That's what I meant when I wrote "I don't want to trash BenQ too hard here but let's just say having monitor speakers you'll never use is better than not having them" and followed up with commenting on how you can at least use them to troubleshoot audio issues on your system.

The typical app store workflow for me is I visit the store to download a specific app I'd like to install. That app will then have to download and install while I wait.

That "while I wait" is an ideal time to ask me to rate other recently installed apps, or an app I haven't used in a while.

A Ai bot that lives on a phone number. You can call the number to talk to it and ask it questions, however all of it's answers are sandwich related and it attempts to solve any problem presented using sandwiches.

I love this idea. It makes me think of an alternative universe where urls and websites were never invented, and everyone has to interact via a dumb phones with a phone number and txt messages (maybe WAP exists...maybe).

I might try taking this further :-)

I have not yet done this. None of the code is complicated, however the setup is a bit (needs an asterisk server, a trunk with a voip provider, an openai account, a text to voice service).

The actual code is quite simple. It's all just glue on the above.

I'll start a repo for the script and some instruction, though.
